O impacto da internet na vida das pessoas

Abstract

Ao longo dos anos a internet cresceu consideravelmente em tamanho e alcance. A quantidade de serviços aumentou a ponto de modificar a forma como as pessoas interagem e trabalham. O assunto ganhou maior evidência quando o mundo enfrentou situações causadas pela pandemia da Covid-19. Nesse momento, assumiu papel fundamental na divulgação de notícias, no fortalecimento das relações afetivas por meio das redes sociais e no fornecimento de suporte ao trabalho remoto, exigido para atingir metas de distanciamento social. Este artigo comenta textos de outras pesquisas, blogs e um documentário em vídeo com a finalidade de entender e relatar aspectos da influência positiva, ou negativa da internet na vida das pessoas. Entende-se, como conclusão, que não e fácil afirmar que a internet tem mais pontos positivos que negativos, ou o contrário. Como qualquer invenção jovem e em evolução, é preciso esperar e confiar no amadurecimento dos seus usuários para que o lado benéfico da internet prevaleça.

Over the years the internet has grown considerably both in size and reach. The number of services has increased to the point of changing the way people interact and work. The issue gained further evidence when the world faced situations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The internet assumed a fundamental role in the dissemination of news, in strengthening affective relationships through social networks and in providing support for remote work, required to achieve goals of social distancing. This article comments other research results, blogs and a video documentary in order to understand and report aspects of the positive or negative influence of the internet on people's lives. It is understood, as a conclusion, that it is not easy to say that the internet has more positives than negatives, or the opposite. Like any young and evolving invention, you have to wait and trust its users to mature for the internet's beneficial side to prevail.
