Bookcase: sistema web para troca de livros.

Abstract

No Brasil, atualmente, tem-se aumentado o índice de pessoas que nunca leram ou adquiriram um livro, devido os altos preços de suas unidades físicas. Tal fato tem resultado no crescimento do número de adeptos à leitura digital, em virtude da facilidade e gratuidade das obras (IPL – Instituto Pró-Livro). Conquanto, parcelas de pessoas ainda preferem livros físicos devido à conexão emocional com os títulos (O GLOBO, 2013). Porquanto, com o presente projeto BOOKCASE, busca-se como principal objetivo, aumentar o número de leitores, disponibilizando algo acessível e de baixo custo que une a tecnologia com o palpável, proporcionando ao leitor realizar uma troca online, gratuita, de livros com outro usuário do sistema, resultando no aumento da concentração e elevação da inteligência.

In Brazil, currently, the index of people who have never read or acquired a book has increased, due to the high prices of its physical units. This fact has resulted in the growth in the number of digital reading enthusiasts, due to the ease and gratuity of the works (IPL - Instituto Pró-Livro). However, portions of people still prefer physical books because of the emotional connection with titles (O GLOBO, 2013). Because, with the present BOOKCASE project, the main goal is to increase the number of readers, making available something inexpensive and inexpensive that unites the technology with the palpable, allowing the reader to make a free online exchange of books with another system user, resulting in increased concentration and elevation of intelligence.
