Nature no longer supports the predatory consumption of a population that increases daily. Recycling is a necessity, and the philosophy of consuming only what is needed becomes part of the routine life of people, communities and industries. Within this context, reverse selling has been gaining space among companies, especially those where their products generate waste that can not be discarded without additional care. This exploratory qualitative research aims to investigate how reverse logistics can contribute to the reduction of risks inherent to the disposal of the Residual Health Service (RSS). The population covered by the survey 113 people is little compared to the Brazilian population, but it shows in relative numbers the lack of information on the subject. This lack of information is supported by the lack of broad regulatory legislation. Ignorance leads to incorrect disposal. Implementing the logistics network in this segment is urgent for the maintenance of the health security of people and animals in urban, rural and environmental protection as a whole.
