A lot has been spoken about IoT (Internet of Things) lately, which means Internet of Things. It has grown a lot in recent years, and its goal is to connect various "things" from the world, such as electronics to computers, notebooks, tablets and smartphones. From this, new technologies have been created, with Arduino being one of them, an open source platform that is simple and easy to use and can be used by anyone who has no knowledge of electronics or programming. As mentioned, the smartphone is connected to IoT, and the same is the great constant of the last years, which is always growing and evolving, and can now connect with Arduino through IoT. Currently, doubts arise in the minds of individuals regarding their residence. For example, if a light has been on or off, how the temperature is, if has started to rain or not, and in that case, if the window is open or closed. Thinking about it, a project was developed with Arduino using IoT. The Arduino will communicate with an application for the automation of a house through a smartphone. Therefore, it was possible to control the Arduino of the house, making it easier for the user in relation to some functions of his house, being able to open or close a window or a door, turn on or turn off a lamp through his cell phone, in addition to being able to check the temperature, humidity and rainfall in his residence
