Vanguardas europeias: expressionismo. Coleção: retrato de uma mulher

Abstract

Este artigo tem como objetivo ressaltar o efeito das emoções humanas na percepção do mundo e de si mesmo. Mais especificamente, busca-se analisar como a visão da sociedade sobre as jovens mulheres influencia a maneira como elas próprias enxergam seus corpos e identidades. Para tanto, toma-se como base a vanguarda expressionista alemã — movimento artístico que se fundamenta na distorção da realidade a partir da subjetividade do artista. Os ideais discutidos por Warley Souza - professor de Português e Literatura, com licenciatura e mestrado em Letras pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - sobre esse movimento são aqui considerados, juntamente com os estudos de Sigmund Freud sobre o inconsciente, conforme apresentados em seu livro A Interpretação dos Sonhos, publicado em 1900. A partir desses ideais, foi realizada uma pesquisa com o objetivo de conectar a vanguarda expressionista aos corpos femininos, resultando no desenvolvimento de uma coleção de roupas. A proposta buscou destacar o corpo e as transformações vivenciadas pelas mulheres em um período de transição, como a saída da adolescência. Com base nisso, a coleção trabalhou alfaiatarias desconstruídas e joviais, alinhadas às tendências relevantes para a época abordada e para o público-alvo. O resultado é uma coleção com modelagens marcantes, inserida em uma estética de escritório retrabalhado, interpretada sob a perspectiva da geração Z.

This article aims to highlight the effect of human emotions on the perception of the world and of oneself. More specifically, it seeks to analyze how society’s view of young women influences the way they perceive their own bodies and identities. To this end, the study draws on the German Expressionist avant-garde — an artistic movement based on the distortion of reality through the artist’s subjectivity. The ideas discussed by Warley Souza (a Portuguese and Literature professor with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in Letters from the Federal University of Minas Gerais) regarding this movement are considered here, along with Sigmund Freud’s studies on the unconscious, as presented in his book The Interpretation of Dreams, published in 1900. Based on these concepts, research was conducted with the aim of connecting Expressionist avant-garde principles to female bodies, resulting in the development of a clothing collection. The project sought to highlight the body and the transformations experienced by women during a period of transition, such as the passage from adolescence to adulthood. Accordingly, the collection explored deconstructed and youthful tailoring, aligned with trends relevant to both the period addressed and the target audience. The result is a collection featuring striking designs within an “office reimagined” aesthetic, interpreted from the perspective of Generation Z.
