Análise da qualidade da água para consumo em escolas do município de Piracicaba

Abstract

Atualmente, as escolas enfrentam desafios decorrentes das mudanças climáticas, como altas temperaturas, afetando a qualidade e temperatura da água potável, que é essencial para os estudantes. A infraestrutura inadequada pode contaminá-la, tanto durante seu percurso, como no armazenamento da mesma no filtro, e isso afeta negativamente a saúde dos alunos que a consomem. Este estudo tem como objetivo determinar se a água, para consumo, fornecida nas escolas do município de Piracicaba está dentro dos parâmetros de potabilidade estabelecidos pela legislação, especificamente a Portaria GM/MS n° 888/21. Para isso, foram estabelecidos objetivos, como a coleta de amostras de água, a realização de experimentos laboratoriais para análise de pH, temperatura, dureza e outros parâmetros relevantes, e a investigação de soluções para mitigar problemas de qualidade de água, incluindo a elaboração de um filtro sustentável e acessível, a fim de melhorar a qualidade da água. O desenvolvimento de um filtro sustentável e a análise regular da qualidade da água são etapas essenciais para alcançar esse objetivo e promover um ambiente escolar saudável e propício ao aprendizado, além dos impactos da poluição na saúde e no meio ambiente.

Schools are currently facing challenges due to climate change, such as high temperatures, affecting the quality and temperature of drinking water, which is essential for students. Inadequate infrastructure can contaminate it, both during its journey and when it is stored in the filter, and this negatively affects the health of the students who consume it. The aim of this study was to determine whether the drinking water supplied to schools in the municipality of Piracicaba complies with the potability parameters established by legislation, specifically Ordinance GM/MS No. 888/21. To this end, objectives were set, such as collecting water samples, carrying out laboratory experiments to analyze pH, temperature, hardness and other relevant parameters, and investigating solutions to mitigate water quality problems, including the development of a sustainable and affordable filter, in order to improve water quality. The development of a sustainable filter and the regular analysis of water quality are essential steps towards achieving this goal and promoting a healthy school environment conducive to learning, as well as the impacts of pollution on health and the environment.
