Óleos lubrificantes.

Abstract

Os óleos lubrificantes são largamente utilizados nos mais diversos setores da indús tria. Este é um produto que a princípio deve cumprir a função principal de reduzir o atrito e o desgaste entre partes móveis de um objeto. No entanto, também são funções do lubrificante, dependendo da sua aplicação, a refrigeração e a limpeza das partes móveis, a transmissão de força mecânica, a vedação e proteção do conjunto ou de componentes específicos, e até a transferência de determinadas características físico químicas a outros produtos. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo nortear o tema lubrificantes industriais de maneira a compor os principais tópicos relacionados ao tema. Sendo assim, serão abordados desde a composição das matérias-primas e seu beneficiamento para a produção de óleos básicos, até os problemas ambientais rela cionados à produção, aplicação e descarte de lubrificantes. Durante o estudo, serão abordadas ainda as principais análises de laboratório relacionadas ao desenvolvi mento e monitoramento de óleos lubrificantes. Este estudo foi realizado baseado em uma revisão da literatura e pode assim ressaltar a importância do tema, lubrificantes industriais, como uma fonte rica em possibilidades de pesquisa e desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias.

Lubricating oils are widely used in various sectors of industry. This is a principle that should fulfill the main function of reducing friction and wear between moving parts of an object. However, they are also the lubricant functions, depending on your applica tion, cooling and cleaning the moving parts, the transmission of mechanical strength, sealing and protection of all or specific components, and even the transfer of certain physical and chemical characteristics other products. This work aims to guide the in dustrial lubricants issue so as to compose the main topics related to the theme. Thus, they will be covered from the composition of raw materials and their processing for the production of base oils, to environmental problems related to production, application and disposal of lubricants. During the study, they will be also discussed the main la boratory analyzes related to the development and monitoring of lubricating oils. This study was conducted based on a literature review and can thus stress the importance of the issue, industrial lubricants, as a rich source of research opportunities and devel opment of new technologies.
