Aplicações da biometria para sistemas de informação

Abstract

Atualmente os sistemas biométricos estão em crescente expansão no mercado mundial. Isso se deve ao maior índice de segurança e confiabilidade que a biometria proporciona, pois estes sistemas baseiam-se em características únicas e intransferíveis das pessoas. Este trabalho aborda os principais padrões e tecnologias utilizadas na identificação, destacando os sistemas de informação em que a técnica já é empregada, além disso, cita as novas tendências tecnológicas deste segmento.

Currently the biometrics systems are in increasing expansion in the world market. It is due to the biggest index of security and trustworthiness that the biometric provides, therefore these systems are based on unchangeable and unique characteristics of people. This work approaches the main standards and technologies used in the identification, points out the information systems where the technique already in use, moreover, it mentions the new technological trends of this segment.
