Abstract

A franquia Kumon é conhecida mundialmente por ser uma escola que possui o método de ensino diferenciado e auto didata. Foi criada em 1954 por Toru Kumon, professor de matemática que, com a intenção de fazer seu filho obter melhor resultado em seu aprendizado, desenvolveu técnicas para que ele pudesse resolver problemas de forma individual, fazendo assim com que aprimorasse sua habilidade de encontrar soluções rápidas e práticas. Foi realizado um estudo tendo como finalidade a análise de viabilidade referente à implementação de uma unidade da franquia Kumon na cidade de Lorena, localizada no interior do estado de São Paulo. Para isso, analisou-se, de maneira detalhada, os métodos aplicados ao modelo de negócio da empresa e estes métodos, por sua vez, foram replicados nas análises e projeções contidas no decorrer do presente documento. O estudo também analisou o cenário econômico atual, o público-alvo pretendido, os concorrentes atuantes no mercado e as diretrizes legais a serem seguidas pela empresa.
