Hidratação, clareamento e rejuvenescimento da região íntima feminina: análise de rotulagem de produtos

Abstract

Introdução: As alterações fisiológicas e estéticas da pele na região íntima feminina, causadas tanto pelo envelhecimento como por ouros fatores, geram desconforto físico e emocional nas mulheres, afetando tanto sua vida sexual como sua autoestima. Objetivo: Analisar a composição de cosméticos destinados aos cuidados com a pele da região íntima feminina e comparar os atributos dos seus ativos com os claims descritos nas embalagens secundárias. Material e métodos: Com base na literatura científica e em documentos técnicos de fornecedores de matérias-primas, foi realizado o estudo crítico qualitativo de três formulações cosméticas destinadas à hidratação, ao clareamento e ao rejuvenescimento da região (externa) íntima feminina e, identificados os ativos cosméticos e seus benefícios à pele, foi estabelecida uma comparação com os claims declarados. Resultados: Os ativos cosméticos presentes nas formulações cosméticas qualitativas analisadas apresentam ações sobre a pele que justificam os benefícios descritos para cada produto. E, em geral, as ações são sinérgicas e complementares. Considerações finais: Todas as formulações cosméticas qualitativas analisadas corroboraram os benefícios (claims) declarados nas suas respectivas embalagens secundárias.

Introduction: The physiological and aesthetic alterations of the skin in the female intimate region, caused by both aging and other factors, generate physical and emotional discomfort in women, affecting both their sex life and their self-esteem. Objective: Analyze the composition of cosmetics intended for skin care in the female intimate region and compare the attributes of their actives with the claims described on secondary packaging. Material and methods: Based on the scientific literature and technical documents from raw material suppliers, a critical qualitative study was carried out on three cosmetic formulations intended for hydration, whitening and rejuvenation of the female intimate (external) region, identifying the cosmetic actives and their benefits to the skin, a comparison with the declared claims was established. Conclusion: The cosmetic actives present in the qualitative cosmetic formulations analyzed present actions on the skin that justify the benefits described for each product in their respective secondary packaging. And, in general, the actions are synergistic and complementary.
