Tradutor universal

Abstract

A idéia de um tradutor que realmente funcione, principalmente na Internet, inspirou-me a desenvolver essa monografia. A idéia básica é de que qualquer palavra, frase, texto, etc. possam ser traduzidos de um idioma para qualquer outro, em tempo real e sem haver perdas no significado, como acontece atualmente, com os tradutores para web. Para tanto, foi patenteada em 1996 pela ONU (Organização das Nações Unidas, em Tóquio, Japão), uma Linguagem Universal para Rede de Computadores (UNL), que está sendo desenvolvida desde 1997. A UNL é como um código único para o qual todo idioma é convertido, podendo este ser revertido posteriormente em uma outra língua. Portanto, a maior parte do trabalho está voltada em relacionar o conteúdo idiomático aos seus correspondentes códigos UNL. Desde então, vários países aderiram ao projeto, cada qual trabalhando sobre o seu idioma. No Brasil, alguns colaboradores são o Instituto UNDL Brasil, a UFSC, a USP - São Carlos, a UFSCar, a UNESP, a UNICAMP, dentre outros. Este projeto envolve um estudo complexo na área de lingüística, estudo esse auxiliado sempre pela informática. Tais dificuldades devem-se ao fato de que numa tradução, para obtermos um bom nível de compreensão, devemos nos preocupar não só com o léxico, mas também com uma série de conceitos (morfologia, sintaxe etc.) de um idioma. Porém este é apenas mais um desafio a ser vencido em defesa da globalização do conhecimento e da inclusão digital.

The idea of a translator who really functions, mainly in the internet, inspired me to develop this monograph. The basic idea are of that any word, phrase, text, can be translated of a language for any another one, in real time and without having losses in the meaning, as it happens currently, with the translators for web. For in such a way, it was patented in 1996 for the ONU (United Nations Organization, in Tokyo, Japan), a Universal Network Language (UNL), that it is being developed since 1997. The UNL is as an only code for which all language is converted, being able this being reverted later in one another language. Therefore, most of the work id come back in relating the idiomatic content to its corresponding UNL codes. Since then, some countries had adhered to the project, each one working on its language. In Brasil, some collaborators are Institute UNDL Brazil, the UFSC, the USP, the UFSCar, the UNESP, the UNICAMP, amongst others. This project involves a complex study in the linguistics area, study this assisted always by informatics. Such difficulties also must it the fact of the in a translation, to get a good level of understanding, we must in not only worrying them about the lexicon, but with a series of concepts (morphology, syntax, ...) of a language. However, this is only more a challenge to be looser in defense of the globalization of the knowledge and the digital inclusion.
