Associação de artesãos de Indaiatuba: um estudo sobre a formalização do ofício por meio da carteira do artesão

Abstract

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo compreender a realidade dos artesãos na cidade de Indaiatuba SP. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e mista, pois foi elaborada em duas fases, a primeira qualitativa e a segunda quantitativa. Os resultados apontam que existe pouco conhecimento dos artesões sobre os benefícios da carteirinha do artesão. O trabalho demonstrou também que poucos associados identificam benefícios em pertencer a associação dos artesãos. Importante mencionar que a informalidade do oficio do artesão, nem sempre é considerada nas relações de trabalho do atual modelo econômico, mas representa fonte de renda e sustento para número considerável de famílias. Esse trabalho procurou compreender a situação dos artesões associados. O que foi encontrado nessa pesquisa é que a renda deste segmento e gerada por iniciativas individuais de produção e venda, apesar da existência de órgãos oficiais de apoio ao artesão e artesanato. Entende-se que são necessárias políticas públicas efetivas, que alcancem o pequeno artesão, facilitando obtenção de matéria prima, qualificação, estruturas de comercio e inserção dentro da economia do artesanato, para que se torne renda principal gerando vida digna aos artesãos.

This research has as its objective to comprehend the current reality of the artisans in the city of Indaiatuba, São Paulo, and how the Artisan's Association is organized. It is an exploratory research and it has been executed in two different phases, the first being qualitative and the second being quantitative. The results show that the local artisans, in their majority, are unfamiliar to the benefits of the Artisan's Card. It has also shown that the few current participants see no benefits in participating in the Artisan's Association. It is worth remembering that the informality of the artisans work is exploited in the current day society and economy, even though it represents a large portion of the income of this artist's households. What has been discovered through this research is that some of the income of this segment's workers are generated by individual initiatives of producing, selling and advertising their artwork, despite existing official secretaries that should help craftsmanship workers and artisans. It is clear that effective public policies that reach the small-scale artisan and help them acquire raw material, courses, classes and business knowledge are necessary to bring this type of worker to the formal economy, and thus giving them all the opportunity to live a decent life with the profession of artisan.
