Acessibilidade para pessoas com transtorno do espectro autista nos eventos realizados em Presidente Prudente – SP

Abstract

O Transtorno do Espectro Autista, ou comumente chamado somente por Autismo, tem como diagnose a deficiência no desenvolvimento neurológico, causando dificuldades comportamentais, de comunicação, e de interação social. Com o passar dos anos, o assunto vem despertando maior mobilização por parte das ciências médicas, das ciências sociais, e, também, do direito, sobretudo pelo fato de o TEA causar inúmeras dificuldades no sentido das relações sociais e interpessoais do indivíduo. Paralelamente, a Lei, de modo geral, garante além da igualdade, o acesso à cultura e ao lazer, a todos os cidadãos, independentemente de sua condição de saúde. Isto posto, faz-se necessária a atenção à inclusão das pessoas com o Transtorno do Espectro Autista na vida em sociedade, especialmente no foco deste trabalho, qual seja, a inserção dos indivíduos com o transtorno, em eventos. O objetivo principal deste trabalho se concentrou em suscitar discussões acerca da relevância da presença de mecanismos facilitadores da acessibilidade, às pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista nos eventos realizados em Presidente Prudente, mecanismos estes cuja existência e qualidade foram averiguadas por meio de entrevistas realizadas com profissionais correlatos ao tema, pais de indivíduos com o transtorno, além de pesquisa bibliográfica sobre os aspectos teóricos deste trabalho, e das leis pertinentes ao assunto. A metodologia utilizada, portanto, foi, além da pesquisa bibliográfica, a coleta de dados qualitativos, colhidos por meio das entrevistas realizadas. Pôde-se verificar que, apesar da crescente preocupação do mundo moderno com o Transtorno do Espectro Autista, ainda não há medidas de grande relevância, voltadas especificamente para o acesso destes indivíduos a eventos, sejam eles de caráter público ou privado, muito em função de ser esta preocupação, algo novo aos olhos da sociedade como um todo.

Autism Spectrum Disorder, or commonly called just Autism, is diagnosed as a deficiency in neurological development, causing behavioral, communication, and social interaction difficulties. Over the years, the subject has aroused greater mobilization on the part of the medical sciences, the social sciences, and also the law, especially because ASD causes numerous difficulties in the sense of social and interpersonal relationships of the patient. At the same time, the Law, in general, guarantees, in addition to equality, access to culture and leisure for all citizens, regardless of their health condition. That said, it is necessary to pay attention to the inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder in life in society, especially in the focus of this work, that is, the inclusion of individuals with the disorder in events. The main objective of this work focused on raising discussions about the relevance of the presence of mechanisms that facilitate accessibility to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder in events held in Presidente Prudente, mechanisms whose existence and quality were verified through interviews with professionals. related to the theme, parents of individuals with the disorder, as well as bibliographic research on the theoretical aspects of this work, and the laws relevant to the subject. The methodology used, therefore, was, in addition to the bibliographic research, the collection of qualitative data, collected through interviews. It could be verified that, despite the growing concern of the modern world with Autism Spectrum Disorder, there are still no measures of great relevance, specifically aimed at the access of these individuals to events, whether public or private, largely due to be this concern something new in the eyes of society as a whole.
