Cuidados Paliativos em Oncologia Pediátrica

Abstract

O presente estudo objetiva identificar os principais fatores de cuidados paliativos em oncologia pediátrica. Foram selecionados artigos que envolvessem a questão em estudo nas bases de dados Scielo e Lilacs. Observou-se com os estudos que a criança oncológica requer um cuidado especial, visto que se encontra em uma fase de grandes mudanças e adaptações, ao lidar com uma doença de tal porte, a criança sofre um grande impacto bio-psico-social. A Família é fundamental no transcorrer do tratamento e a equipe de enfermagem deve estar disposta a oferecer um tratamento holístico, que envolva não somente à criança doente, mais também à família, como forma de prestar um melhor atendimento à criança, diminuindo assim o medo e ansiedade gerada com o diagnóstico. Desenvolver ações para reduzir os danos gerados pelo tratamento é função essencial da enfermagem, buscando assim realizar uma prática assistencial de excelência. A equipe de enfermagem deve buscar oferecer medidas terapêuticas que amenizem a situação vivenciada pela criança-família oncológica, tendo como preceito humanístico a humanização e qualidade de assistência.

ABSTRACT:The present study aims to identify the main factors of palliative care in pediatric oncology. Articles involving the issue under study were se-lected from the Scielo and Lilacs databases. It was observed with the studies that the oncological child requires special care, since it is in a phase of great changes and adaptations, when dealing with a disease of such magnitude, the child suffers a great bio-psycho-social impact. The Family is fundamental in the course of the treatment and the nursing team must be willing to offer a holistic treatment, which in-volves not only the sick child, but also the family, as a way of providing better care for the child, thus reducing fear and anxiety generated by the diagnosis. Developing actions to reduce the damage generated by the treatment is an essential function of nursing, thus seeking to carry out a care practice of excellence. The nursing team should seek to of-fer therapeutic measures that alleviate the situation experienced by the child-oncological family, having humanization and quality of care as a humanistic precept.
